- AccountNow Prepaid Master Card is a prepaid issued by Meta Bank. It is a plastic card guaranteeing instant approval no credit or employment verification checks. Cardmembers’ credit will be reported to main credit bureaus monthly. Cardmembers are not allowed to conduct balance transfers.
- Cardmembers do not incur an annual fee but a monthly service fee is deducted depending on the plan in use. The Classic Plan charges $4.95 while the Premium Plan charges $9.95. Loading options like Direct Deposit and cash come at no extra cost. Cardmembers on the premium plan can pay their bills online at no extra cost using Bill Pay. It’s much easier to manage the card account online with online statements available for download. Online account management comes to cardmembers at no extra cost. Paper statements cost $5 per request.
- Parents who’d like to get a prepaid card to teach the kids a little about plastic cards should be delighted to know that transferring funds from one card to another comes at no extra cost.
- Being on the MasterCard platform, cardmembers enjoy zero fraud liability on unauthorized and fraudulent transactions. This liability does not cover unauthorized transactions relating to an ATM PIN. Cardmembers can make balance inquiries or redraw at ATMs displaying the MasterCard logo. ATM balance inquiry costs $1 per transaction while withdrawing money from an ATM located within the U.S. costs $2. Cardmembers are allowed to hold a maximum of $10,000 in the card account.
