First PREMIER® Bank Mastercard® Credit Card
Unsecured Mastercard with credit reporting and 60s response
Updated: Jul 4, 2024
If you have less-than-perfect credit, a new Mastercard from First Premier Bank could help you work on reestablishing yourself financially. Although the annual percentage rate is a bit substantial (which is somewhat expected for this kind of card), the reasonable fee structure is a decent alternative to other cards of similar design.

Our Take
- In this day and age, access to credit can be very important. Without it you could have trouble getting the things that you need or want; particularly costly items like a car or a home. While basic credit is not going to help you get a brand new car, there are some credit cards out there that are designed to help people work on their credit. If you have had some credit issues in the past, these cards can offer you access to small line of credit that help you establish the responsible credit history you need. Although many companies might offer you a pre-paid debit or secured credit card, this First Premier Bank Mastercard credit card is a genuine MasterCard.
- When you have past credit issues, getting a credit card that still gives you access to basic credit features can be somewhat difficult. Even if you have the best intentions and the ability to make your payments on time, banks and credit issuers have a hard time simply dishing out credit. This card will, however, give you some credit that you can use to pay bills or buy some of the things you really want. With an easy application process, you could have approval in minutes and your new credit card, which is valid anywhere in the world that accepts Mastercard.
- Anytime you apply for a new credit card you can expect to pay a few fees. This card is no different, with a one-time processing fee and an annual fee that will reduce by nearly half after the first year. Perhaps this reduction is due to the fact that there is no monthly fee for the first year but then one will begin charging upon your first anniversary. Of course, you can also expect to pay fees for cash advances, foreign currency transactions, making a late payment, or having a payment returned; all of which are pretty standard for credit cards regardless of your credit history.
- If you think this card could benefit you, there is a very simple application you need to fill out, an application you can quickly and easily access online. Indeed, First Premier Bank makes it easy. Simply give them your full name, your address, your phone number, date of birth, social security number, and perhaps your e-mail address and you could be on your way. These are also quite common to most credit cards, regardless of your credit history. Although it probably goes without saying, you never have to worry about your personal information being used for anything other than qualifying your application, but if you have any questions or concerned, the Privacy Statement is available alongside the application for you to peruse at your leisure.
