  • Cardholders who want premium perks, benefits, and high returns.

What Are Save Wealth Premium Card Advantages?

The Save Premium Wealth card is a unique credit card with an abundance of advantages for the right users.

Easy investments

The card’s most appealing advantages are its easy investments. Cardholders don’t have to change their spending habits or even start learning about the stock market and Exchange Traded Funds1 (ETFs). All you have to do is use the card as you usually would. For every $1 spent, Save makes a $2 investment on your behalf – the investment doesn’t come from your account but rather from Save itself. When signing up for the Save Premium Wealth, you’ll answer a few questions that will help determine your risk profile and whether you want conservative, moderate, or growth investments. Save will match your qualified transactions and invest in up to 30 ETFs based on your preferences. You will need to spend at least $250 on your Save Premium Wealth card for Save to make investments on your behalf.

Average return potential of 5.86%

Save Wealth Premium cards have an average return potential of 5.86%. With select brands, including Tesla, Amazon, Electrify America, Peloton, SoulCycle, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, and Whole Foods, the potential returns are even greater, going from 9% to 18%. However, you’ll need to keep in mind that these returns are only estimates based on the historical performance of the investments. Based on market changes, ETF volatility, global economic shifts2, and more, the returns could be significantly higher or even significantly lower.

Excellent referral program

Save offers a one-of-a-kind referral program that can make the Premium Wealth card even more valuable. Every time you refer a person to the Save Premium Wealth card, both you and the person you referred will receive $5,000 each in equivalent portfolio investments. After the wealth management fee of 0.79%, the investment is entirely yours to keep. Like with the regular Save investments, you will need to wait for a little over a year to access your referral returns.

Valuable travel and spend benefits

As a card in the Visa network, the Save Premium Wealth comes with all Visa benefits, including Visa signature concierge, travel and emergency assistance, lounge access, purchase security/extended warranty, 15% rental discount on Audi vehicles, and more.

Disadvantages

Although the Save Premium Wealth card offers powerful perks, it’s not without faults. You’ll need to consider some of the following disadvantages before signing up for this card.

High fees. Save Premium Wealth is among the most expensive cards to hold in your wallet. The $750 annual fee can quickly put a dent in the average cardholder’s budget. It’s charged to the second statement month, and you’ll need to pay it all at once. Therefore, even if you have an excellent credit score and meet all the eligibility criteria, think twice before you apply.

Long redemption waiting period. If you’re looking for a quick rewards credit card, look elsewhere. To redeem your rewards, aka the investments Save makes on your behalf, you’ll need to wait over a year. As mentioned, the investment needs to sit for at least 12 months, so you can only collect your potential returns 13 months after the fact. Of course, considering that many long-term investment strategies take significantly longer to pay off, 13 months doesn’t sound half bad.

Investments are the only type of earned reward. Finally, Save’s only type of credit card reward is investments. You cannot opt for cash-back rewards, points, or even miles. If you aren’t interested in earning a passive income through investments, you might want to find a different credit card issuer.

What Makes Save Wealth Premium Card Different

As the world’s first credit card that makes investments on your behalf, the Save Wealth Premium Card is a unique charge card offer. Without using your savings or changing your spending habits, you can easily make high-yield investments and reap the rewards.

With an average rate of return of 5.86%, it delivers powerful perks that can help you diversify your portfolio and provide you with a decent passive income.

Competition and Alternatives

Bottom Line

The Save Premium Wealth card is clearly not for everyone. You need to brace for the high fees and the long redemption periods, which could be a considerable disadvantage. Still, for the right cardholder, this Visa Signature offer could be the perfect card. The fees are nothing compared to the potential returns. Additionally, since Save Wealth Premium plans to expand its investments to ESG-focused portfolio strategies and alternative assets/ cryptocurrencies, the card could be even more valuable for novice investors.
